Today, I'm going to be diving into a topic that is so common and useful for my intuitive and highly sensitive beings who are also creators, content creators, artists, and wanted to monetize their gifts through creating. That is the ability to be consistent while also honoring your highly sensitive nature without burning yourself out. So, let's dive right in!
Part of the reason that this is such a problem for my creatives, this burnout whenever we try to be consistent with how we show up on social media, with our writing, with our art in any form, is because we live in a world that heralds hustle culture as the way for entrepreneurial spirits to make it. But the truth is, when we hustle, we actually end up in these really awful burnout cycles where we go really, really hard for a certain amount of time. I'm sorry if this has happened to you because it sucks, and I've totally been there. I used to find myself in burnout cycles all the time where I'd be showing up really consistently online, I'd be selling my services, I would be launching something, and then I would get clients, and I would just disappear. I would have to completely disappear off the internet, I'd have to completely disappear from doing my writing, making my videos, or manifesting my creations.
But I want to share with you that there is absolutely a way to show up online, to show up in our creations, to show up in our business with consistency that also does not mean burnout. And that's what I want to share with you today so you can start taking some effective actionable micro-steps towards creating a system, a structure, a strategy that supports you in your life to show up in your creative artistry without repeating these burnout cycles.
The first thing I want to address is sometimes people come to me and they say, "I just don't have anything to say. I don't have any ideas." And there are two parts to this. Sometimes that's true. Sometimes you're so creatively burnt out from trying to self-source your creation, trying to pump out as much creative energy as possible that you reach this place where you literally have no inspiration coming in. And if that's true for you, if you really genuinely feel completely uninspired, that is okay.
My recommendation to you is to stop trying to push and to force and to take a step back and actually go do the things that make you feel inspired. And you know what those things are. Maybe it's dance, maybe it's listening to music, maybe it's going and enjoying a vacation. Maybe it's simply just taking a walk in nature. Whatever it is, give yourself permission to step away from the pressure of creating, and just allow yourself to be inspired by the world around you.
Now, the second part of this is a little bit more tricky, and that is that sometimes we have ideas, but we don't know how to bring them to life. We don't know how to take them from the realm of just being an idea in our head to being an actual creation that we can share with the world. And this is where it can be really helpful to have some tools and some strategies to help you move through that creative block.
One of my favorite strategies for overcoming creative block is to break things down into really small, manageable tasks. When we're feeling overwhelmed, it's easy to just shut down and not do anything at all. But if we can break things down into tiny little bite-sized pieces, suddenly, it doesn't feel so overwhelming anymore.
One of the biggest obstacles to creativity is the feeling of not being good enough. This feeling often stems from our inner child wounds and core beliefs about ourselves that we hold unconsciously. These beliefs can get projected onto our work and prevent us from sharing it with the world. To overcome this, we must go to the root of the problem and deal with the core wound itself, without judging or criticizing ourselves.
As creatives, we often struggle with perfectionism and the desire to make our work "good enough." This can lead to a cycle of planning and creation without ever bringing our ideas into the world. To break free from this cycle, we must address our core wounds and set up systems that support our unique energy.
Setting up systems and structures can feel constricting at first, especially for creatives who value chaos and spontaneity. However, these systems can provide the masculine containment that all of us naturally crave. With the right systems in place, you can turn your creative ideas into tangible creations that serve others.
At the heart of creativity is feminine energy, which allows us to receive inspiration and turn it into artistry. By embracing our unique energy and setting up systems to support our artistry, we can break free from creative blocks and bring our ideas into the world with confidence.

As a creative, you know that ideas can come flooding in at any given moment. It can be exciting, but it can also be overwhelming to figure out how to execute them all effectively. That's where marketing systems and structure can make all the difference in your business. Here are some of the benefits:
I know the idea of “business” or “marketing” or “strategy” may give you the ick - but that’s because this is about our relationship with masculine energy as a whole.
Masculine energy refers to the more assertive, action-oriented, and goal-focused aspects of our being. It is the energy that drives us to take action and make things happen. In contrast, feminine energy is more receptive, intuitive, and nurturing. Both energies are important, but for many creatives, there can be a tendency to lean more towards feminine energy, which can result in a lack of direction, focus, and structure in their business.
The father wound refers to the psychological impact that a lack of positive male role models can have on an individual. This can result in feelings of abandonment, unworthiness, and a lack of confidence. For creatives, the father wound can manifest as a lack of confidence in their ability to take charge, make decisions, and build a successful business.
Healing the father wound and developing a healthy relationship with masculine energy is imperative for creatives who want to build successful businesses.
